Note to Students about COVID-19

During this challenging and ever-changing time of COVID-19, the APEX Scholars staff is committed to providing students with comprehensive academic support in a safe and caring virtual environment.

What services and/or resources are available?

APEX Scholars Advising

Advisors will schedule both face-to-face advising meetings in their offices and remote meetings via Microsoft Teams.  They may also be contacted via phone, email, and Canvas. Students are responsible for keeping their scheduled appointments that appear on their Office calendar for the entire semester. Students should regularly check their WSU email for special instructions from their advisor, which will indicate the type of virtual platform being used for the appointment.

What services and/or resources have been modified due to the COVID19 Pandemic?

Visiting the campus and APEX Office requires students to be approved through the Campus Daily Screener.  Your Advisor will make you aware of the days and times they will be working in the office and when they are working remotely.  WSU is currently under a COVID19 and Flu Vaccine mandate for any who wish to come to campus.  Masks are required inside campus buildings.

Whom do I contact with questions or issues?

For questions regarding Advising, students should call or email their academic advisor. The advisor's contact information is located under Meet the Staff located in the APEX Scholars website. Students can also contact Audrey Whitfield, Associate Director at ac7837@wayne.edu
